I resided in Hillsborough, NC from 1970 until 1990. I married and moved to Durham for ten years and for the last eight years I have lived in Prospect Hill.

I have always had an interest in Art. In junior high and high school I began experimenting with drawing and sketching. Although for a while, I focused on providing for my family and laid my artwork down, I never gave up the dream of pursuing an art career. Over the last two years I have begun painting with oil and devoting more time to my artwork. I am a self-taught artist that enjoys painting in the Bob Ross/ Thomas Kinkade style of artwork. I am currently studying under Betty Tyler and have learned a lot in a very short time with her.

I have been married to my wife, Kim, for eightteen years and we have two daughters, Krystal who is sixteen and Ashley who is twelve.

Recently I partnered with a local business in Elon. I created a collage pencil drawing of well-known places of interest on the Elon University Campus. Of the one hundred prints that were signed and numbered we have sold nearly half. I have sold several other drawings and paintings in recent years. I enjoy knowing that my art work graces the walls and mantels of others.

I am a firm believer that a talent such as an artistic ability is a gift from God, who is after all, the greatest artist known. His pallet is the sky above and each morning he creates a new painting just for our eyes to gaze upon.

I see the art that I complete as a testimony to God’s beauty that surrounds us every day. It has been a life long dream to be a successful artist and be able to do what I love to provide for my family. My heart’s desire is to one-day paint full time. In the future, I hope to be an example to others who wish to pursue their heart’s desire and help others achieve their dream of being a successful artist.
